Patrick R. McDonald
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. McDonald is Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Company since 2004. Mr. McDonald served as Chief Executive Officer of Forest Oil Corporation (NYSE:FST) from June 2012 – 2014. From 1998-2003, Mr. McDonald was Chief Executive Officer and Director of Carbon Energy Corporation (AMEX:CRB), an oil and gas exploration and production company which pre-dated the present company. From 1987 to 1997 Mr. McDonald was Chief Executive Officer and Director of Interenergy Corporation, a natural gas gathering, processing and marketing company. Prior to that he worked as an exploration geologist with Texaco International Exploration Company where he was responsible for oil and gas exploration efforts in the Middle East and Far East. Mr. McDonald is Chairman of the Board of Prairie Provident Resources (TSX:PPR), an exploration and production company based in Calgary, Alberta. Mr. McDonald received a Bachelor’s degree in both Geology and Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Masters degree in Business Administration (Finance) from New York University. Mr. McDonald is a Certified Petroleum Geologist and is a member of the American Association of the Petroleum Geologists and of the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists.
Erich W. Kirsch
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Kirsch currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and has held various other accounting and finance roles with the company since joining in 2017. Prior to joining the company, he held positions in several public company entities including Director of Accounting and Finance for Star Mountain Resources, Inc (OTC:SMRS), Corporate Controller for Rare Element Resources (NYSE MKT: REE:TSX:RES) and Prospect Global Resources Inc. Mr. Kirsch began his career with KPMG, LLP in their Denver office, where he progressed to an Audit Manager within the firm’s energy practice group. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from University of Wyoming. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
